NAQ + Foundational Burden Graph

A Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ) is a comprehensive tool used by nutritional therapy practitioners to evaluate a person's health status, symptoms, and potential foundational imbalances. It consists of a series of questions that assess various body systems, dietary habits, lifestyle factors, and symptoms related to nutrient deficiencies or dysfunctions. After completing the 320+ question form, we get this calculated graph that helps us to see a clear picture of what imbalances need some support for optimal health.

A NAQ can help us to see signs and symptoms WITHOUT lab work like:

  • Digestive health (bloating, acid reflux, bowel movements, GERD, gallbladder function, detoxification)

  • Energy levels (fatigue, blood sugar imbalances, essential fatty acid need)

  • Hormonal health (PMS, irregular cycles, thyroid function, stress)

  • Mood and cognition (brain fog, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, decision fatigue )

  • Skin and hair health (dry skin, hair loss, acne, eczema, rashes)

  • Sleep patterns (insomnia, restlessness, 1-3am wake-ups, wired but tired)

  • Dietary intake and lifestyle factors (hydration, movement, stress)

Take a look below at one of my client’s progress stories and how the NAQ helped her to make simple changes and balance her foundations!

This first graph indicates where she started as a 6-month Package client. What you can identify is that there are foundational markers that are elevated and out of balance.

Her main concerns included:

  • Struggling to manage pre-diabetes

  • No weight loss despite being “perfect” with diet and workouts.

  • Wanting to model healthy nutrition habits for her two boys

Patterns we uncovered:

  • An “all or nothing” mindset around sweets—cutting them out led to more intense cravings

  • Constant bloating after meals, even with “healthy” foods like salads

  • Daily constipation, sometimes going days without a bowel movement

Over the course of 6 months, we focused on realistic, sustainable changes. Here’s what we did—and what shifted:

Lifestyle Habits We Focused On:

  • Ate a blood sugar-friendly breakfast with protein + healthy fats

  • Added minerals and digestive support before meals

  • Built a consistent meal schedule to reduce crashes

  • Prioritized gentle movement and fresh air during the afternoon slump

  • Focused on hydration with electrolytes throughout the day

🔬 Guided by Testing + Monthly Check-Ins:

  • Used HTMA testing to guide targeted mineral support

  • Adjusted supplements monthly based on symptoms and progress

  • Kept things flexible—she implemented changes at her own pace

🌟 Results She Noticed:

  • Improved digestion (daily bowel movements + reduced bloating)

  • Balanced blood sugar (no more 3 PM crashes or sugar cravings)

  • Better mood and sleep cycles

  • More energy to move her body—without burnout

  • Even got her husband on board with healthy changes!

Her second NAQ showed major improvements across multiple systems—and she’s feeling like herself again.

small changes = big results!

small changes = big results!

Healing doesn’t have to be extreme to be effective.

Over 6 months, my client made small, consistent changes to her nutrition and lifestyle - and the impact? Huge.

She didn’t overhaul her life overnight. She took it one step at a time, with the right support, and it paid off. Now, not only is she feeling more balanced and energized, but she’s also teaching her kids and family how to support their bodies, too.

Here’s the truth
No two clients I work with are the same. Your journey, symptoms, and starting point are uniquely yours—and that’s exactly why this approach works.

Whether you’re just starting out or already deep in the healing journey, there’s space for you here.

Let’s do this together—one aligned step at a time. 💛
